On the lower level, the siding is now all the way around to the west side of the house.
The bathroom wall - in the corner - has been framed in for the windows. Notice the new corner post. Any day now, the vanity will arrive, and then we can do the complicated dance with the countertop guy.
Remember our shiny Budaris boiler? It got more stuff attached to it.
The old water tank is on the left. Boiler is on the right. It's the green...parts, between the two. Don't know what else to call 'em.
And, at some point we decided it was a good idea to put a heat exchanger in the mix, since the new construction is going to be so well-insulated and tight, and the original house will be a lot better insulated as well...a way to ensure that the air is moving around seemed like a fine idea. So, some air ducts have been put in place upstairs, in the bedroom and bathroom.
In off-camera news, we decided to skip this interesting paper-based countertop product for the windowsills, in favor of your basic #1 pine, possibly stained, and definitely polyurethaned. We need to cut back on something, to make up for the fact that ooops, we managed to not really factor in all the LIGHTS needed in the project, duhhhh.
