As you can see, it is quite a large tub. The width of the whole thing - flange included - is 42". It is six - count 'em - six - feet long. How big is this?

Big enough for both of us.

Yes, Mom, we have been assured that the weight of this tub, filled with water and human(s), should not cause a massive gravitational event. It's actually a very simple tub: no fancy stuff - no jets, for instance. It's just...big. We're going to have the front of it faced in the same bamboo as the floor. (That was my brilliant idea for the day.)

Also in the day's news: progress on the shelves under the windows. The insulation guys are due soon, soon, soon, and the window shelves and tub's framing both have to be done first. Gack!
