A few things to report today: now we look like a space ship! hooray! this is the insulation project, west side of the house. That window behind the ladder on the left is the one our friend Michael installed for us last year. The one that the bird crashed through has already been subsumed into the addition.
Also, as promised earlier, the chimney from the furnace was removed today, as can be seen above. Note to self: no more using the furnace on these recently-chilly evenings. It rained last night, and we awoke to water on the living room floor from the aforementioned removal of the roof over the sliding glass door. Today the guys put in rafters over the new bump out, and threw that tarp up.
...and worked on framing the walls more.In off-camera news, we've picked out fixtures for the bathroom. And we've started mapping out light fixtures, outlets, and switches.
