Do we really even need siding?

Mike and Josh wrapped up the whole thing in Typar today. Why even progress to siding, I ask you?

Here's the roof of the existing house - it's about to get re-done and while they're at it, they're going to remove the chimney in the back, as it's not being used anymore and won't be used at all by the new heating system.

They've also cut out the trap door - because of all that rain before the roof was on, we're growing a spooge colony down there that needs to be eradicated.

OK, here's the cool stuff. I'm upstairs now, standing in the southwest corner, in what will be the walk-in closet. The hole to the left is where the stairs will be. You can see the bathroom walls are getting blocked out. The Massive Tub to End All Massive Tubs will sit in the alcove on the right. That puppy is going to be - get this - 42" wide (including the extra bits on the side. The part you actually loaf around in is 36".)

This picture is looking up the future stairwell from the first floor.

And this is looking down the stairwell from the second floor. Big day. Still working on the whole vanity thing.
