decisions, decisions

As I already mentioned, tomorrow we'll be laying out the bathroom. Yesterday, we went out tile shopping. We got all inspired, and then we got all geeky. The picture above is what happens when you borrow a tile board from a store...take it home...take pictures of it...use my all-time favorite screen capture utility (SnagIt - techsmith.com) to clip different bits of the pictures...use PowerPoint to assemble the bits into possible designs... yes, an entire weekend can be profitably whiled away in such activities.

Chocolate chip cookies are also featuring prominently on this rainy Sunday afternoon.

But I digress. Thus far, we are apparently going with a mocha/cream kinda theme. We might have a cork floor (sorry - no sample, no pictures!) in a kinda creamy tone. Or, we might have a tile floor of that color. Purple is also going to play a role in here somewhere, but first, we have to get a sense of how much light we'll get in the bathroom. The bathroom is bound on one side by the walk-in closet, on another two sides by the stairwell/entrance to the bedroom, and on the fourth side by the bedroom itself. In other words, it has no external walls. Its windows will look out over the stairwell, which also has windows. So you'll actually get a view from the bathroom, of the woods. But there probably won't be that much light.
