Greetings from South Carolina

OK, I'm cheating: this picture is actually from two years ago.

But it gives you a sense of where we are.

Here's the news from the house, per Jonathan:
1. They broke through between the existing house and the addition, and will be sheetrocking the doorway.

2. When asked "how's the paint color look?" Jonathan cackled. He said that when he stands in the office, he feels like he's inside a pumpkin. And when he's upstairs in the bedroom ("yuma gold" and "orange glass") he feels like he's inside the sun. Mission accomplished!

3. The plumbers came and installed baseboard heating in the living room of the existing house, and turned on the system for the first time, and it works great - it's keeping the guys warm while while they work.

4. We had turned off the boiler's contribution to the water tank before coming down here, so that only the solar panels are heating the water. And the water's currently at 140 degrees. Whoo hoo! It's working!

Today my bestest friend Michele arrives for the latter half of our visit here. Another Hooray!
